Manners, manners

I'd like to meet the parents who raise their children to become thoughtless adults when they are at restaurants and fast food places and when asked how they can be served, respond with "I NEED -----" or "GIMME A------"

I'd really like to smack those people.

Just today in the Subway line, right behind me came an "I NEED..." I almost turned around and said "You don't NEED a footlong ham, turkey and bacon with extra cheese and mayo. Trust me, lady.

You want it. So the polite way to ask is "I would like" or "may I have," etc.

If there's one thing my child will never say to a waitor or waitress, it's "I need." They will however, say Thank you.
