Shut Up Hollywood!

Why is it Celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Sandra Bernhard (who have no real claim as celebrities because they are devoid of actual talent) get upset and shoot their mouths off in anger against a woman like Sarah Palin who is actually uplifting women in all areas of life - from the time she was on city council to her new positiion as VP candidate - and actually make the news reports as if they are making valid intelligent statements???

They are NOT. (And do we really call these events 'concerts' when it's a blog post and an angry woman shouting into the microphone.

Why is it celebrities like that don't get upset about terrorists flying planes into buildings?

Whether she's devoid of talent or not, i think she has as much right to voice her opinion as you do. People don't have to pay attention to it or take it with a grain of salt, but it's unamerican to say that she has no freedom of speech.

You're just upset because there are less liberals in hollywood than you'd like. if 80% of hollywood celebrities who voiced their opinions out loud started endorsing McCain you'd start praising Hollywood, and then you'd be a hyppocrite.

Actually, no, I'm quite American, thank you. I allow many people to post on this blog that disagree with me. I let you post. They have all the right to their own opinion.

If celebrities are out there talking Smack about Obama, I will slap their wrists as well. I think celebrities should use their face-time and money power for good, not to spread hate and make baseless attacks against others- political, celebrity, and joe schmoe alike.

I never said they couldn't open their mouths to speak. I said they shouldn't. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, how about? So don't call me Unamerican.

And I think you meant less conservatives.

well, thank you for letting me post, but that's a humongous fallacy that speaking of ill of certain politicans=not using your power for good and you know it.

a lot of what you type up on this blog is highly negative of democrats, and that's because you believe that it's good for this country to have the republicans in power, and it's a necessary evil to bash the other side. there's nothing that seperates you and them.

The only difference, which falls under a different argument, is that more people listen to them, but that's the way fame works, it's just an inevitable phenomenon that some people will be in the public eye more than others.

Besides, if they were politically ignorant like the girls on the Hills and didn't speak up for political candidates, you'd lambast them for being politically ignorant and being bad role models.
